The circle of life.

I haven't posted for so long! Here's to hoping I remember how. So much has happened since my last blog post....first the bad. I lost my mom at 92 years old in March of this year. She had been living with dementia and it was really sad to see the rapid decline in memory (and general health) the last year of her life. She taught me how to thread a needle, and the rest is history.

Then...the good! I'm a grandma (Gigi) again! I have two new granddaughters...Saylor Ann was born in September 2106 to my son and daughter-in-law and she joins her sister Demi Mae and brother Cole.  June Elise was born in April 2017 to my daughter and daughter-in-law and joins her big sister Eleanor.

I never thought I would enjoy being a grandparent as much as I do! Ok, that's a fib...I knew I would love it. There's just something about holding your babies' babies....it helps soften the blow of getting old.

More quilts to come...I have been so busy with graduation quilts that poor little June still doesn't have her very own quilt yet! I can't wait to start the scrappy quilts again but the t-shirt quilts are the priority right now.
